Augustin "Gus" Farmer
Waterloo Police Department

Sgt. Gus Farmer has been employed with the Waterloo Police Department since February 2003. During that time, he has been assigned to the Patrol Division, K9 Unit, Citizen's Response Unit, Traffic Unit, Mounted Patrol Unit, Bike Patrol Unit and is currently a supervisor that is assigned to Watch III Patrol. Gus was promoted to Sgt. in 2009, and is currently the Trainer/Supervisor of the K9 Unit, as well as the Supervisor of the Traffic Unit.  During his time away from work, Sgt. Farmer enjoys auto racing and most outdoor sports.

Sgt. Farmer was appointed to serve as Vice President of the IPOA, and currently serves as Chair of the Legislative Committee.

Sgt. Farmer is supported by his local association, the Waterloo Police Protective Association, and is the 1st Vice President of the WPPA.
