WEST UNION POLICE DEPARTMENT

The City of West Union, Iowa (Population 2,486) is accepting applications for Chief of Police.  West Union is a community located in scenic NE Iowa and is the county seat of Fayette County.  Applicants must have 8-10 years of law enforcement experience with a minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.  The ideal candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills, knowledge of the municipal budgetary process and excellent managerial and leadership skills.  Iowa Law Enforcement Academy Certification or equivalent out-of-state enforcement certification is required.  Post offer physical and drug screen required.  Salary DOQ.  Submit cover letter, resume and proof of certification by January 13, 2016 to: City of West Union, 612 Highway 150 South, West Union, Iowa 51275. Patrol Officer, Lake View

The City of Lake View (population 1,142) is currently accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer.  The Lake View Police Department is a 4 person department that also provides contractual law enforcement to the citizens of Wall Lake.  Lake View is a recreational community located in the heart of scenic Western Iowa, and is the home to beautiful Black Hawk Lake,  with approximately 250,000 visitors annually.  The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, ethical, team oriented and dedicated to the principles of community oriented policing.  ILEA certification is preferred but not required.  All non-certified applicants will be required to take POST test, psychological screening, and physical agility test.  There is a required post-offer physical.  Please submit cover letter and resume by February 26, 2016 to: Royce L.
